There are times in life when you feel powerless. Indecision has you paralyzed. Fears and worries grip you. A situation overwhelms you and you simply do not know what to do or say. I am there right now in my journey of educating our children. Do we homeschool? Do we send them to public school? Do I homeschool one and not the other? If we do homeschool, what curriculum do we use? What co-ops do we join (if any)? And yet, I found such peace in 2 Chronicles 20 today, in Jehoshaphat's prayer as he and the kingdom of Judah go into battle against the Moabites and Ammonites. When he and his men were facing a great multitude in battle and felt powerless, his prayer to the Lord was...
"We do not know what to do, but
our eyes are on you.” (2 Chronicles 20:12)
Exactly.
I do not know what to do. But you do, Lord, as the Sovereign and Almighty God.
And my eyes are on you, Lord!

Great thought and verse! Thanks Risa!
