Why Water?

If you know me, you know that I (and my husband) have a HUGE passion for providing clean water wells to under-served communities.  Our favorite water ministry is Living Water International (LWI).  We have partnered with them for several years now to provide new water wells in places like India and Mexico.  I just do not get tired of seeing images like this...

In fact, this spring, we donned our running shoes and ran a 10K to raise support for Living Water International.  It was my first race and it was so fun to accomplish a personal goal AND help provide a clean cup of water in Christ's name to others around the world!

But why water?  There are so many wonderful and Christ-centered ministries out there from which to choose and support. Well, to answer that question, I would love to share with you an article from Christianity Today's author and economist Bruce Wydick, who chose Living Water International as one of the most impactful organizations you could invest in this year!  After a lengthy exploration of the effectiveness of giving cows, or just cash, for Christmas, he ends on a recommendation to give to Living Water International, citing a study in which experts rank water highest among common development interventions in relative effectiveness per dollar!  Check out the full article at the link below for more details!
