He Directs our Paths

I recently went sailing with my daughter and husband while we were up at the lake.  Sunshine requested that we sail across the lake.  Although we tried to make it across, the wind was just not cooperating with us--we were either going up the lake toward the bridge or down the lake toward the point.  Finally, hubby told Sunshine that it just wasn't going to happen--that we would need to try again the next day.  It was a teachable moment that we had on the sailboat as I had just recently read the Proverb quoted above.  We were able to teach her that even though we plan our steps, God is truly the only one who directs our path!
